A story of wood
and time since 1960
1960
In 1960, this wooden building was born on a quiet street in Aoto, Tokyo. It was an era where the energy of rapid economic growth met traditional community love.
The pillars, crafted by artisans from single logs,
have stood for over 60 years and continue to support
this home with quiet strength today.

While honoring the original architectural design,
we have infused modern sensibilities to transform it into BEGINNING GUEST HOUSE. The warmth of aged wood,
soft light through the windows, and the scent of tatami mats bring a sense of nostalgia and peace to all who visit our doors.

This is more than just a place to stay. It is a place where we weave the continuation of
a story that began in 1960 together with you. Touch the deep texture of the wood
and enjoy a special moment away from the bustle of the city.

Now
Completed as a wooden residence in Aoto, Tokyo.
The journey of artisan craftsmanship began.
Through Japan's rapid growth, the house matured
with the family, becoming a local landmark.
An era when the value of old wooden architecture
was rediscovered. The idea of renovating and inheriting homes rather than demolishing them
began to spread across the nation.
This year, BEGINNING GUEST HOUSE began its journey
as a lodging facility. Cherishing its history as a long-loved home, we began adding careful touches to transform
it into a welcoming space for travelers.
Known warmly as BEGINNING, we provide guests
from around the world an experience of healing
surrounded by the warmth of wood.
